RND Cinemas opened its first multiplex cinema in March of 1994 and has since grown into the sizable, publicly traded company, RND Holdings Limited, with over 1,300 Bahamian shareholders.
The decision was made that the company would become a "public company" in October of 1998. The official initial public offering of 2,500,000 ordinary shares began in November of 1998 and closed successfull oversubscribed in December of 1998.
Although still in its infancy, RND Holdings has doubled its overall asset base and increased its revenue to 6 million annually. | |
